The 10th WRC 2012 will be held in Sharm El-Sheikh City, it is located at the Southernmost point of the spectacular Sinai peninsula, with the purple-hued Red Sea, mountains providing a rugged back drop. Click for maps

The dry temperate climate makes Sharm El-Sheikh a perfect destination whatever the time of the year. The congress will be held in Savoy resort hotel (5*+). Savoy Sharm El Sheikh is impeccably  located on the fabled white knight beach, part of the protected Ras Mohamed National park. Egypt hall ( Main hall)
The Egypt hall is of maximum capacity of 1400 persons, making it the largest conference room in the red sea region. Equipped with top of the line equipments and operable at theatre (1400 places), class room (500 places) or conference room (500 places), Egypt hall is an air conditioned, sound proofed hall, made for prefect venue.

Half an hour flight away lies the jewel of Mediterranean; Alexandria and a mere an hour flight takes you to upper Egypt where you can view Egypt's glorious past in Luxor and Aswan.  Visit the temples of Luxor, the legendary Valley of the Kings and Queens. There is an elusive thrill that comes from having sensed, through the sights, sounds and smells of a special place, the collective experiences of the centuries. Travelers will seek this thrill of historic recognition through the nile – whose banks are lined with ancient villages, temples and fields of date palms. The red sea took its name due to the color of various mountain ranges bordering the sea. The red sea is famous of its water clarity, and the spectacular and diversified marine life, which makes it famous for coral reefs and their inhabitants. St. Catherine   is an ancient Greek Orthodox monastery at one of the highest summits in Sinai

The colored canyons or if underwater activities attract you then a visit to Ras Mohamed in Sharm El Sheikh is where you have to go as the coral reefs and  underwater life here is compared to nothing more beautiful. Fishing Tournaments in Hurghada bring in people from all over the world. Useful Information

Electricity
Electricity is supplied at 220V- 50/60 Hz.

Currency
In shops and restaurants you pay with Egyptian pounds (LE). Egyptian pound is divided into 100 piaster. There are banknote of LE 200, 100, 50. 20, 10, 5 and 1. Smaller denominations are LE 0.50 and 0.25 in banknote or coins.
The appropriate current exchange rate for LE is five for one dollar and seven for one Euro with limited changes up or down.

Time
The Egyptian standard time is GMT+ 2 hours

Insurance
The organizing committee will not accept any liability for personal injuries, loss or damage of property. The participants are requested to arrange their own insurance for health, travel and property.

Banking
Banks are  open Sunday to Thursday from 8:30 am to 2:30 pm and are closed on Friday and Saturday.
Climate
The average maximum temperature of Sharm El Sheikh during meeting period is 335C the minimum is 25 5C, probability of rainfall during September in Sharm El Sheikh is nearly nil .

Official language
The official language of Egypt is Arabic, with English and French. The former is widely spoken. The official working language of the congress is English.

Passport and Visa
Most Nationalities are granted Visa upon arrival to Sharm El Sheikh international airport. Few Nationalities need to apply for Visa before arriving to Egypt. A transit visa is sufficient for a stay of less than 7 days.
For up-to- date information, it is essential that inquiries be made prior to travel from the nearest Egyptian consulates. Passports should be valid for at least 6 months from the date of entry into Egypt.

 Dress code
During the congress period, light garments are advised.
